The BitcoinFriendlySA store is live

After spending the past few weeks finalising the checkout flow using BTCPay Server so payments can be processed directly in Bitcoin, and refining the fulfillment model by running some test shipments, I’m happy to announce that the BitcoinFriendlySA online store is now officially live.

It’s a focused online store where you can buy South African goods using Bitcoin only.

The idea is simple:

We partner with South African small businesses that already accept Bitcoin in-store and curate their products for online purchase. All payments are made in Bitcoin, and our partner merchants are paid in Bitcoin.

We’re currently working with

• Ekhaya Coffee Roasters (Strand)
• Siki’s Kofee Kafe (Khayelitsha)
• Northern Plateau Rooibos (Woodstock)

For now, we’re focused on Cape Town and the Winelands while we properly control logistics and the customer experience.
