Why this store exists

Bitcoin is often called digital gold but it’s also money you can spend. This store exists to:

• Give South Africans a place to spend Bitcoin directly on everyday goods like coffee and tea without converting to rand.
• Support merchants who already accept Bitcoin in-store by giving them another channel to generate sales and earn more Bitcoin.
• Grow real-world Bitcoin spending.

Current partners

We’re currently working with a small group of local businesses:

1. Ekhaya Coffee Roasters: Specialty coffee roasted in Strand, inspired by adventure and rooted in the warmth of home.
2. Siki’s Kofee Kafe: A community-driven coffee shop in Khayelitsha that’s part of the Bitcoin Loxion Circular Economy.
3. Northern Plateau Rooibos: A rooibos tea merchant sourcing from the Bokkeveld Plateau, with a store in Woodstock, Cape Town.

How it works

1. Choose your items.
2. Enter your delivery details (Cape Town & Winelands for now).
3. Pay with Bitcoin Lightning
4. We pack and dispatch. You receive your items in 1-3 business days.

We’re starting with Cape Town and the Winelands as we test logistics, shipping, and demand. If it works, we expand. If it doesn’t, we refine it.
